During Summer Nights, Nevada City’s landmark historic
district is closed to motorized traffic and filled with arts,
crafts, classic cars, food, drink and music. Leading Sierra
foothills musicians perform on outdoor stages
throughout the downtown area. Hours are 6-9 p.m. There
is no admission charge.

Victorian Christmas in Nevada City - December 7,11,14,18,21-2011   To enjoy
the romance of an old-fashioned holiday, don’t miss Nevada City’s 31st Annual
Victorian Christmas celebration.  During the annual event, Nevada City’s landmark
historic district is closed to motorized traffic and transformed back in time.
Christmas melodies, costumed characters and the glow of gas street lights
remind visitors of another time and place.  Admission is free.
